HISA is a French non-profit NGO aimed at ensuring the preservation of the environment and biodiversity<\/strong>. Scientists, researchers, naturalists, engineers, we are working on different projects around the world. All our projects have the same vision centered on environmental ethics.<\/strong> We study \u201cman-nature\u201d relationships and seek to find solutions so that animals and people live together harmoniously.<\/p>\n

Since our creation in 2011, we have sought to engage in projects where humans and animals could coexist. Saveguarding all living things taking into account human activities was our priority. In 2011, the \u00ab\u00a0living with wild animals\u00a0\u00bb and the engagement ended with wild animals and ecology. It is in this direction that our teams work and direct their efforts.<\/p>\n

We created this NGO only at two! Since then, our team has grown and we have not ceased to act for the environmental cause and, at our level, for the protection of all living things.                 Convinced that the ecological transition of societies worldwide will require a balance between humans and nature, Elo\u00efse joined HISA’s board in 2021.<\/p>\n

                After studying nature management and conservation in French Guiana, she turned her focus to tropical agronomy. She gained valuable experience through projects in Madagascar aimed at protecting lemur habitats and in R\u00e9union Island, where she worked on recycling urban waste into cattle farming. She later had the opportunity to attend AgroParisTech, where she earned a degree in agroecology.<\/p>\n

                Elo\u00efse began her career with a Franco-Senegalese NGO, supporting sustainable agricultural practices in a village in the Sahel. Upon returning to France, she became involved in the nonprofit sector, working with urban educational farms focused on social integration and community engagement. Today, she continues her mission by applying her technical skills to help vulnerable populations (such as individuals in the justice system and people with disabilities) explore environmental careers.<\/p>\n

                Passionate about the living world in all its complexity and deeply concerned about the future of humanity, Elo\u00efse is determined to make a difference by supporting human activities that respect nature.<\/p>\n

                Ga\u00eblle is passionate about the relationships between wildlife, their habitats, and human activities. Her research has taken her to work in various ecosystems, from alpine pastures to boreal forests. Her goal is to understand how animals adapt to their environment and what role they play in ecosystem functioning.<\/p>\n

                She is also focused on identifying the most effective measures to protect these ecosystems. Ga\u00eblle aims to leverage her research experiences to help find concrete solutions for reconciling human activities with nature conservation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

                A Master\u2019s student in Entrepreneurship and Project Management at IAE Bordeaux, Aliz\u00e9e has always been passionate about animals, both wild and domestic. Her future entrepreneurial project places companion animals at the heart of her concerns. Originally from New Caledonia, Aliz\u00e9e grew up surrounded by nature and animals, driven by a deep desire to contribute to their well-being and conservation. Throughout her studies, she has been involved in various volunteer missions with associations and NGOs such as WWF France, Surfrider Paris, and the League for the Protection of Birds (LPO). She also contributed as a volunteer to the WWF France documentary Rorqual<\/em>.<\/p>\n

                Attentive to the interactions between ecosystems and human activities, her initial expertise in wildlife management allowed her to focus on monitoring population dynamics of harbor seals, gray seals, and otters. To deepen her knowledge, she continued her studies in natural area management and conservation in French Guiana. She expanded her experience by working with loggers in the Peruvian town of Lagunas, aiming to preserve the habitats of the woolly monkey and spider monkey by reducing forest fragmentation.<\/p>\n

                Her career then shifted toward tropical agriculture, where she worked as an agro-environmental project manager, conducting agricultural experiments and preserving endemic and indigenous medicinal plants on R\u00e9union Island. With a master’s degree in environmental studies from Quebec, she is now committed to balancing environmental challenges with agricultural vitality and developing the forestry sector in a rural territory.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

                Margaux, biologist specializing in animal behaviour, has led numerous projects focused on studying animal behavior, with the aim of improving and preserving the well-being of both domestic and wild species. Among her achievements, she directed a project in Brazil to enhance cattle welfare and participated in a field mission in Thailand, studying the behavior of semi-wild Asian elephants in their natural environment.<\/p>\n

                Driven by a deep passion for the relationship between humans and wildlife, Margaux is dedicated to promoting harmonious coexistence between human activities and nature. Since joining HISA in February 2018, she has overseen a wide range of the association\u2019s projects, including initiatives in Tanzania (notably the Makoa and Gongo projects), Madagascar, Bordeaux in France, and French Guiana. Her commitment and ability to manage large-scale projects earned her a promotion to the leadership of the association, where she continues to spearhead innovative initiatives for biodiversity conservation and the reconciliation of human activities with nature protection.<\/p>\n

                No\u00e9mie\u2019s journey has been anything but traditional, yet it has always been guided by one key question: how to improve the lives of those around her and the environment they live in.<\/p>\n

                Her early career in the restaurant industry allowed her to grasp social and environmental challenges firsthand. This experience sparked her desire to support organizations in implementing Sustainable Development policies through CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).<\/p>\n

                However, something was missing: tangible, hands-on experience in the field.<\/p>\n

                Today, she focuses on a key aspect of CSR: the environment, particularly biodiversity, as its protection is becoming increasingly critical. With this in mind, she joined HISA as part of her work-study program in Biodiversity and Ecological Engineering, where she can both learn and take concrete action to preserve and strengthen the bond between humans and nature. Her efforts are especially impactful at the local level through the Resilience<\/em> project.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

                Ma\u00e9va holds a master’s degree in ethology and has primarily studied animal behavior in captive environments. A passionate traveler eager for discovery, she spent several months exploring Latin America after her studies, where she encountered numerous animal species. It was during this journey that her commitment to wildlife conservation and environmental protection truly solidified. The Amazon rainforest offered her the incredible experience of caring for tropical birds and mammals at a rescue center for animals from illegal trafficking. There, she realized the critical importance of fostering coexistence between humans and nature, as well as the need to raise awareness among local populations about species conservation.<\/p>\n

                To take concrete action in this direction, she first volunteered with a cetacean protection association. Today, Ma\u00e9va continues to pursue her values by joining HISA\u2019s board, where she brings her passion and energy to the development of local projects, particularly the R\u00e9silience<\/em> project.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
